Last night, Thursday 16 December, Gorillaz fans packed the Sydney Entertainment Centre. It was one of the best concerts I have been too. The music was fantastic with most if not all of the tracks from their latest Album Plastic Beach being performed and many of their best hits including Feel Good Inc, Dirty Harry, 19-2000. The night saw a host of special guests - De La Soul, Hypnotic Brass, Bobby Womack, the Syrian National Orchestra of Arabic Music, Bootie Brown, Little Dragon and Rosile Wilson. It was really mind blowing the diversity of the music from classical to punk, from Arabic music to Hip Hop. Most of the music was accompanied by continuous video. Seeing the animation on a big screen you really got to appreciate not only the time it must take to compose the music but to put the animation together and then time it with the music is amazing. I could go all over again!
