Need I say more?

Nothing spruces up a night at the movies like free drinks, free chocolate and a jam-packed gift bag – welcome to Event Cinemas’ “Chicks at the Flicks”!

Ladies love a good rom-com especially when they can see it with other ladies. There is something special about heading to the movies and being able to relax, stuff your face without being judged, and see a great movie. Let’s face it, we ladies just ‘get’ these types of films and knowing that you won’t look over and see a man bored out of his brain really enhances your whole movie-seeing experience. I’m all for the Sisterhood!

I was lucky enough to be invited to the premiere of ‘I Give it a Year’ on Wednesday 20th of February and not only am I still laughing (the movie is outrageously hilarious – my favourite scenes included an awkward threesome, a pigeon terrorising Rose Byrne and a digital photo frame gone oh-so-wrong); I can still feel the great energy that I picked up on the night.

As you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff, pink balloons, a delightful confectionary table and promotional displays featuring lovely ladies products.
So Good Jewellery, Lorna Jane, Pure Romance, spaQ and Starshots Photography were in attendance and were giving out information and prizes to anyone who was interested – which was everyone! Not only were the lollies and chocolates a big hit but all the guests were keen to mingle with the businesses and take advantage of their special offers. 12 lucky ladies walked away with fantastic prizes on the night!

Event Cinemas George St Sydney and Bondi Junction will be hosting the events which will take place at least once a month; every guest will have access to an array of feminine products, nibblies, drinks, a good looking DJ and goodie bags.
You can watch the film in either a traditional, VMAX or Gold Class theatre. Gold Class have packages for only $65.00 which includes sparkling wine, high-tea appetisers and a deliciously sweet dessert that is best enjoyed in a recliner chair. But if this is a little out of your price range I recommend VMAX for only $26.00 – the seats are noticeably larger than traditional cinemas (to fit your prizes and goodie bag!) and a lot more comfortable.

So grab a friend with an XX chromosome and head to Event Cinemas to enjoy a chick flick and be pampered. Why? Because we deserve it!
