SPORT? Love to RUN and TUMBLE?

Ever wanted to run away and join the circus (with your parents’ permission!)?
If so, the Flying Fruit Fly Circus would like you to try out for a place on its full-time elite circus training course in 2013!
This is a unique opportunity to become a member of Australia's National Training Centre for Young Circus Artists.
Founded in 1979 – the International Year of the Child – and based at Albury Wodonga on the NSW-Victorian border, the Flying Fruit Fly Circus has a unique international reputation as a performing arts company and a centre of training excellence.
Circus encourages young people to learn through teamwork, physicality and by challenging themselves. Fruit Fly artists undertake their education at the dedicated Flying Fruit Fly Circus School which has a proud history of high academic achievement.
New Executive Director Richard Hull says the Circus’ kids are truly inspiring and “a world class bunch”.
“Our students come from all over Australia to become part of a wonderful, unique community here in Albury and beyond. We start with the basics of balancing, juggling, rope-climbing, trampoline and even dance classes. From there the beginners progress to intermediate and advanced skill levels, moving towards a place in our performance troupe, which tours regionally, nationally and internationally. It can be a life-changing opportunity, with many Fruit Fly artists moving on to world renowned companies like Cirque de Soleil, Circa and Circus Oz.”
The national auditions take place on Sunday 19 August in Albury, but video auditions are also accepted… current CircusArts students in Albury do not need to apply.
