The City of Sydney's 2012/2013 Grants and Sponsorship Programs are now
open for applications. From Monday 27 February you will have the
opportunity to attend information sessions on these programs. The first
half of the session will include general information about the programs
and during the second half you will have a chance to ask specific
questions of City staff.
Community Information Sessions
The sessions will be held at Town Hall House, 456 Kent Street, Sydney
on:
* Monday 27 February 2012, 11am
* Monday 27 February 2012, 6pm
* Thursday 8 March 2012, 11am
* Thursday 8 March 2012, 6pm
And at Redfern Community Centre, 29-53 Hugo Street Redfern on:
* Thursday 1 March 2012, 6pm
Bookings are not required.
The programs open for application are:
* Local Community Grants Program - grants to non-profit
organisations for community projects, events, activities, services and
resources that help build strong, healthy and vibrant local communities
(cash funding up to $5,000);
* Community Services Grants Program - supports the development
or provision of innovative services tailored to identified needs and
delivering quality outcomes to the community (cash funding over $5,000);
* Cultural Grants and Sponsorship Program - encourages and
supports cultural development through the provision of grants and
sponsorships for cultural projects and organisations (cash funding over
$5,000);
* Environmental Grants Program - supports projects that provide
a clear environmental benefit to the community, align with the City's
Environmental Management Plan and creatively engage the community in
improving the state of the environment (cash funding over $5,000); and
* Heritage Grants Program - encourages incorporated non-profit
owners of heritage sites or buildings to undertake conservation and
restoration (matched cash funding up to $10,000).
Please note that applications are for projects that will occur between 1
October 2012 and 30 September 2013.
Applications for all programs close at 6pm on 16 April 2012, and the
City cannot accept late applications. The City will assess all
applications and a decision will be made by Council in August 2012.
