The Rocks Village Bizarre

"Bizarre" - unusual in style, appearance or general character.

You are certain going to find the unusual and Bizarre happenings in the Rocks this November, if the snippets we encounted the other night were anything to go by.

Meet George Cribb Listen as a butcher (and ex-convict) regales you with tales of philandering and running grog - all while he wields his trusty cleaver as he expertly carves the flesh of a real beast in Kendall Lane. Then head inside The Rocks Discovery Museum to hear from his past three wives as they try to piece fragments of their past back together.

Venture if you dare into the Cabinet of Curiosities, creating a stage from a cabinet and a show from the depths of their imaginations is the Village Bizarre's Cabinet of Curiosities in Foundation Park, where you’ll find a myriad of weird and wonderful characters and creatures. Circus and cabaret artists, contortionists, comedians and generally kooky folk gather for performances with a ton of wow-factor and will no doubt serve as a fantastical finale to your busy week.

If you delight in the pleasures of the bizarre  then head down to The Rocks every Friday night between 2nd Nov and 21st Dec to take part in 'The Rocks Village Bizarre'!
The historic laneways, alleys, nooks and crannies of The Rocks will be home to  pop-up events and experiences that have been designed to amaze, confuse and tickle every curious bone in your body.
From 6:30pm the night will come alive and as you meander over the cobblestones, underneath the harbour bridge, you will realise it is exactly the way to begin your Summer season.
There will be blind dates, bicycle-powered YouTube clips (powered by you), dance classes, cabarets, silent discos, bands and more. And best of all, almost all of the exciting interactions are FREE!
So finish work, take off that tie and undo that hair and stroll on down to The Rocks to support your city and its thurst for creative, unique experiences.
