FUN AND FEATHERS APLENTY AT SYDNEY’S FIRST INTERNATIONAL PILLOW FIGHT DAY

Sydneysiders prepared their bedtime arsenal and broke out their fighting spirit at Nature’s Own’s International Pillow Fight Day event at Circular Quay. The free event and saw more than 300 people battle it out in the cutest conflict ever fought.

The global phenomenon began in 2008 with a single pillow-fighting flash mob and has since grown to include more than 120 cities across six continents. This year Sydney was front and centre on the global stage as one of the first cities to kick off the pillow-fighting festivities.

Australian professional boxer, TV personality and model Lauryn Eagle swapped the boxing gloves for a feather-down pillow in her role as MC for the feather-filled event.

“With an estimated one in three Australian adults suffering from sleep disorders, we wanted to fight insomnia one pillow at a time today! We all know how frustrating it is when you don’t get a good night’s sleep. This event was a great opportunity for frustrated sleepers to let off some steam with some pillow fighting and pick up some useful advice on how to get a good night’s rest,” said Lauryn.

Along with the chance to play-fight a complete stranger with a pillow, the event featured free advice from Nature’s Own’s leading naturopaths on how to alleviate tension and stress associate with a restful night’s sleep. With 28% of Australian’s admitting to being rude and irritable after a bad night’s sleep, it seems the nation was in need of some pillow combat!

Sleep needn’t be a fight for those 76% of adults that have trouble drifting off each night,1 thanks to Australia’s leading sleep brand Nature’s Own. Their range of natural sleeping aids, including the new Complete Sleep Calming Hot Drink, are designed to promote a relaxed and restful night’s sleep by alleviating tension and stress.
