Rowan Atkinson Tribute Show

Very brave! The Rowan Atkinson Tribute Show is playing every Wednesday at the Kings Cross Hotel.
Gabriel McCarthy plays Rowan and for somebody so young he does a good job.  If you go thinking that you really are going to see Rowan then you might be disappointed. There is only one Rowan and to play him, playing other characters is not easy.  There were moments when he was close to the real thing and there were moments when he wasn't.
There are 13 sketches which are all based upon the original stage show called "Rowan Atkinson in Review” which went on stage in London in 1981.   You will recognise some parts being very similar to Mr Bean, however the first Mr Bean show was until 1990.  There is lots of mime like you would find with Mr Bean, the final drum mime is a great climax to the show. The only other actor is Valentino Arico who plays the straight man.  Being a cast of two also adds pressure to the pair. But they work well together.
You can't help but laugh and even join in. It will get you talking about your favourite Rowan moments and playing air piano.
For your enjoyment, here’s the stage sketch of sneezing from 1992, which you will see in the show

Have a midweek giggle, it is playing until the end of November.
