At a packed out Oxford Art Factory Gallery Bar on Sunday Night, the winners
of the Captured project were announced, following spectacular performances
from Cameras and Chicks Who Love Guns. A photo gallery from the night can be

From September 16th until October 2nd, thousands of people from around the
world voted for their favourite music video via Facebook, Twitter, DIGG and
through the Vote and Win competition at capturedsydney.com. Taking out this
public vote, by an impressively large margin, were Bon Chat, Bon Rat - who
were paired with director Jake Terrey. Together, they created a beautiful
music video for "Cerberus". It, along with the rest of the resulting films,
can be viewed here: http://vimeo.com/capturedsydney or at

Jake Terrey accepted the award on behalf of the band at the announcement. The band will be receiving a prize pack courtesy of Rode Microphones, Studios 301, Johnny Au Photography, Australia's Year in Music, Peter Lehmann Wines, Little Creatures and Dean Watches.
An additional filmmaker award was presented to Stefan Hunt and Campbell
Brown of Good Cheer, who were paired with band Chicks Who Love Guns. The
resulting film - the only short film which resulted out of the project - was
voted on by a group of industry judges, with Cameras clip for "Defeatist"
coming in a very close second. Cass Navarro, who narrated the film and is
the frontman of Chicks Who Love Guns, accepted the award on the filmmakers
behalves.
About Captured
CAPTURED was a project set up to pair local filmmakers with local
musicians/bands. Together, they each created a music video (or short film /
performance piece), suitable to be screened at festivals around the world
and online. The first CAPTURED installment took place in Sydney, during The
Sydney Fringe (September 9 - Oct 2). Here, six Sydney filmmakers were paired
with six Sydney based musicians/bands to shine a digital spotlight on the
Sydney music scene. Captured was curated by the Digital Arts Curator of the
Sydney Fringe festival, Larry Heath.
About Bon Chat, Bon Rat
Bon Chat, Bon Rat is Alex Murray, Reece Cooper and Russell Smith, whose
connection sparked a likeminded desire for innovative electronic music. The
trio self-produced and mixed their debut EP, which encompasses elements of
IDM and experimental pop music. With synthesisers and vocals that layer and
clutter, chanting guitar loops and frantic rhythms, Bon Chat, Bon Rat is as
much chaotic and claustrophobic as it is inspiring. By warping conventional
song structures and drawing on innovative instrument use, the result is a
bold, memerising experience. http://bonchatbonrat.bandcamp.com/
About Stefan Hunt, Campbell Brown and Good Cheer
The mentality to ‘be of good cheer’ is a simple concept. It encompasses all
things beautiful, honest and inspiring. After a life changing experience in
Mexico back in 2009, Stefan Hunt decided that he would dedicate his life to
sharing stories and inspiring audiences through many different art forms.
With film making being his most obvious passion he has embarked on
adventures around the globe, collaborating with amazing individuals and
creating positive content that reminds the viewer that life is simply about
being of Good Cheer. http://goodcheerprojects.com/
